My attitude toward money is a love hate relationship. Obviously, we can't have a decent life without money. We need money to buy food, pay bills, provide for our families, etc. It is a necessity, but there is definitely a happy medium when it comes to it. Some people are obsessed with money, and neglect other aspects of their life just so they can be rich. They don't balance out family, job, religion, exercise, all that important stuff. It's important that we earn money, but we don't become obsessed and prideful with it. When we leave this life, money doesn't come with us, just our families, and knowledge.
My view on money affects my lifestyle greatly. If I want a wealthy lifestyle, my view on money would be very greedy and pride driven. If all I think about is money, the way I live my life will reflect that. I won't be a Christlike person, I would be selfish. If my view on money is just normal everyday, I need money to pay my bills, give my kids and family a good life, have a little extra to travel and whatnot, I will be a much happier person knowing that I have a balance in my life and my priorities straight that money is not the most important thing. Money does not buy happiness.
I think all the prophets talks and advice to help us prosper are key. We need to be frugal, and that will always help us have money, and save money. We don't always need the biggest, nicest, best new thing to be successful, live within your means, and you can live a comfortable happy life.
I'm sad this semester is getting closer to an end, but i'm excited to continue learning about how I can develop skills and knowledge to become a successful entrepreneur.
