From p-day last week
Hello My dear family And Friends! I hope you are all getting so
excited for Christmas:) I know Me and Sorella Springer
are...especially since we get to skype our families and beyond
anything else, that will be my favorite Christmas Present....even more
than all this yummy Chocolate and food we have gotten from the ward
members. ;) Speaking of food...GUYS WE HAVE 6 MEAL APPOINTMENTS IN THE
NEXT 5 DAYS...and that includes 2 on Saturday and 2 on Christmas day,
and literally I AM SCARED FOR MY LIFE!!! haha But these members are
just the sweetest, and do so so much for us missionaries. They even
Made us these HUGE boxes for Christmas full of all sorts of goodies,
and no joke, that thing weighed like 15 lbs. Lots of Panatone's
(Italian cakes only during christmas time) and every other dolce and
cheese out there! hahaha so good thing regifting is a thing, cause
there is no way me and Sorella Springer can eat all this food!!!!!
haha we have been busy making lots of Chocolate Salami, (Basically
frozen Nutella with cream and cookie stuff that Italians LOVE) for the
members, and some less actives we are going to visit before Christmas.
In Fact...super cool story:) 2 Less Actives we visited this week, we
decided for both ladies (Grazia and Barbra) to sing them a Hymn just
to switch things up and include music during our lessons, cause music
can always bring a special spirit. :) Me and Sorella Springer decided
to Sing "Nearer My God To Thee" 1. because that's our favorite Hymn,
and 2. that's the only hymn I can semi Harmonize to;) lol so At
Grazia's home, Sorella Springer says, Can we sing you a hymn, and she
says ofcourse, and then Sorella Springer says okay We will sing
Bisogno ho Di Te (I need thee every hour)....and that wasn't what we
planned, but I just went with it, and we started singing to her. Soon
after we started, tears come falling down Grazia's face. After we
finished the Hymn she said that was the song sung at her baptism, and
Sorella Springer after told me she didn't mean to say that song, it
just came out of her mouth. COOL RIGHt? Then At Barbras house, same
thing happened. this time we sang Nearer My God To Thee, and she too
told us that was the song sung at her baptism. So yes, both those
experiences were some tender mercies from God. <3 Super Cool! also we
get to go caroling with our zone and It's quite funny cause singing
Christmas songs in English is one thing, but then you sing them in
Italian and it just all goes downhill from there...haha we don't sound
all that great, but it's okay:) The Italians seem to appreciate our
efforts when they stop and listen. We are on a train right now on our
way home from Milan. We just had new missionary training, so I got to
see all my Mtc buddies for the first time in a month! It was so fun!🤗
I'll send some pictures:)
Well guys This week has been a little rough because I am getting
sick...despite my efforts of trying to stay healthy, and take my
vitamins...sleep has been really really hard for me and I'm up more of
the night than I am sleeping...so My body is pretty worn down, but I
got a blessing from the Anziani in my district yesterday, and Me and
Sorella Springer came home for lunch and took a nap after district
meeting, so I pray I don't get too sick..especially before Christmas.
But on the up side, This week has been a great week with all the fun
Christmas stuff we have been apart of. We had our ward Christmas
party, and that was a blast:) Lots of smiles, and laughs, and ENGLISH
CHRISTMAS MUSIC! yup that's all they listen to here which is funny
cause most of them don't even know what the lyrics mean, but they
listen to it anyways;)
This week in Torino, all the wards had a Christmas Concert, and so
many people came, and our investigator Silvana came with her husband
and they are just the 'cutest! I love those 2 so much!! We also had
another lesson with Davidae this week, and guys it was so cool. He is
really really into the bible, and just having a hard time reading the
Book of Mormon along with the bible, so during our lesson, I bore my
testimony on the Book Of Mormon, and I just started sobbing. I
promised Davidae as he reads it with a sincere heart, with true
desires to know it is indeed another Testament of Jesus Christ, his
answer will come. He started crying too, and said he will. It was a
very touching experience! Guys I say I was crying cause it just really
hit me in that moment...this is why I am here. I truly miss home and
my family/friends especially during this time of year, but I am here,
and I get to help these people find their way to the truth and watch
them develop their own testimony, and I wouldn't change it for
anything. It strengthens my faith, and my testimony so
much....sometimes they may not even realize it, but they are teaching
me more than I feel like I am teaching them. So it's pretty awesome:)
Well My Dear family and Friends, I hope you all have a great Christmas
week, and take some time to think about the true meaning of Christmas,
and perhaps even read the Christmas story with your families. I love
you all so much, and thank you for all the emails,
prayers...everything! Ps...It snowed here In Collegno and awe so
pretty! It didn't actually stay, but we loved it while it lasted:)
LOve Sorella Rindlisbacher

refocus on what matters most." -President Uchtdorf
Ps in the pictures...despite my efforts to fix my hair....humidity
loves it and I always have a lions mane😂😂 so yes there's that...okay
have a great week and remember to find something kind to do for
someone else this Christmas week:) my challenge to all of you! Buon
