Hello My dear Family and Friends!
Yes this week has been FULL of Miracles....absolutely the best week
i've had on my mission thus far, and this week I've truly felt the joy
of missionary work:)
Where to start...so yes me and Sorella Springer made cookies for
people this week, and realizing that everything here even ovens...they
use different measurements so ours happens to be in Celsius and yup
our cookies were real crunchy and really good;) haha I guess it's a
good thing Italians like hard cookies...then they will never know we
actually burnt them! lol
So okay before I get To all the Miracles I will start with some of the
funny and Crazy things that have happened questa settemana...so 1:
We were sampling chocolates and THESE WERE NOT NORMAL...looking at my
comp with a disgusted face cause chocolate is suppose to taste
good...but this was no good chocolate, and realizing it was full of
rum. Haha So that happened, and then at a members home, he is a
professional chef, so that was awesome:) And we are talking like
gourmet Italian food guys, but that's not the point...the point is he
hands me this ball thing thats red, and tells me to eat it, so I do
and ABOUT DIED! It was straight up wasabee, and he is dying laughing,
and then his wife hands me cheese to cool down my mouth, but that
cheese was awful, and eww yes that flavor lasted like all night and It
was great. :) haha Some of these Italian Cheeses are super
interesting...not sure If i really like them, but ya, it's an
adventure;)
When Italians say i'll be there in 5 minutes, it means I'll be there
in 30 minutes:) haha
This cute fella we talked to on the street the other day was
interested to hear more about the gospel, so I ask for his number and
he PULLS OUT HIS CREDIT CARD! literally died laughing...haha inside
myself of course, but ya fella, not those numbers! I mean He was
really going to give us his credit card info....anyways that was super
funny!
Italian..yes Oh Italian...well it's coming;) haha Actually this week I
have understood more, and speak lots better than last week;) The
members are so cute and always tell me how much I'm improving, (even
though I think they are just trying to be nice is all.) haha but I
will say that I definitely have felt god's hand in all of it, and
with God, anything is possible, so it's just taking it one day at a
time and learning lots of patience and humility along the way:) I have
learned now when everyone else around me is laughing...I just join in
cause It must be something funny right? So when I don't understand, I
just smile, nod,and yup it usually works...usually;)
We had exchanges In Milano, so we spent the weekend there and it was
great:) One of the very cool Miracles I experienced...well 2 were both
on our way to Milan. We took the metro to get to the train
station...and while on the Metro, I tried talking to this lady, and it
was very clear that she did not want to talk to me....then It just got
weird cause it's just really quiet on metros and no one talks to each
other, and everyone just stares...haha so just standing there looking
around and I notice this man who hurries and looks down the minute I
looked over at him. I had the strongest impression to go talk to him,
but because I just got turned down, I was all worried to go talk to
someone else...and Again I felt I needed to talk to him. Before I
could open my mouth, he says Hey I use to be a member of your church.
I don't go anymore, but I really feel like I want to go back. And we
were able to talk to him, and invite him to this Christmas Concert
thing that the Torino area is doing this sunday. So guys, If I learned
one thing it's that anytime we receive spiritual promptings, to act in
the very moment we receive them.
second miracle, we arrive at the train station, and we got there
early, so Of course I wanted to go play the Piano again:) As I was
playing, this guy came over and listened for a little bit, and as I am
getting up to leave, he starts asking me all these questions and My
face just went white cause Ya GUYS ITALIAN...I still don't
understand...lol and looking around for my comp only to see she is
talking to another person, so I just figured I gotta talk to him. And
it was amazing! For the first time, I shared the restoration to this
man in my very broken Italian by myself, and bore my testimony of the
Book of Mormon. He said How do you know your church is true since
there are so many on the earth...and I told him Because I know that
the book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and If we
know the Book of mormon is true, then Everything else about the gospel
falls into place. He asked for one, and So sad because this night I
didn't have one with me, but today, we are on our way to HoneBnard
(where avengers was filmed for pday) and we have to take a train there
so guess what....While here at the train station, I SAW HIM!!! I ran
over and he remembered me and asked for the book of mormon (Which I
actually brought this time) And says he is going to read it! So guys
some pretty cool things:) In Milan....well it's VERY Foggy and bitter
cold with all the humidity....pretty much you can't feel your face
after 5 minutes, and it feels super weird to talk:D haha but I met
some really awesome people, and also Had the great joys of getting
smashed in the bus door... it was actually really funny, it closed
right on me, and I busted through it... haha European Transportation
system...one day I will get use to it:) We've been visiting lots of
people this week, and it's such a great time of year to share the joy
of the gospel this Christmas Season where so many celebrate the birth
of Christ. :) If you guys haven't yet, I'd invite all you to go to
mormon.org and watch the new Christmas Video #Bethelight #Siiunaluce
and find opportunities to serve all around you this great Holiday
Season. :)
We had a mission conference yesterday, and it was awesome to see so
many familiar faces again from the MTC and meet new missionaries. Also
My awesome Mission President and his Wife....they are seriously some
of the greatest people I have ever met. I love them....especially that
Little President Allen reminds me so much of my dad, and I feel like
I'm just talking to my papa every time I talk with President Allen. So
me and 3 other Sorelle Sang Nearer My God To Thee in front of 100
other missionaries and our guest speakers....let's just say I don't
sing haha but the other 3 Sorelle sounded good so I kinda hid In the
background;) A member of the 70, Brother Johnson spoke to us and just
something he mentioned that was really awesome is that none of us can
see our individual potential now, but god can....so with every
Challenge and Trial we face in life, It's helping us reach our
greatest potential as these hard things are what build and shape our
very Character. So Don't forget that guys....God gives us what we need
when we need it to Build us into the person we are meant to become. :)
I love you all, and hope this week as we are getting near to
Christmas, to remember all the blessings you have and each day carry a
heart of gratitude as you go about serving and helping others this
holiday season.
Love Sorella Rindlisbacher
quote of the week: "waiting for a Brighter Future may cause us to
loose the beautiful today."

(guy who she gave the BOM too)
Barbra and her cute kids! Nothing cuter than hearing kids speak italian! The little boys are rolling their r's right and left and i'm over here trying to figure out what they're saying. haha!

Wearing my comps shirt and skirt today.... we are pretty much best friends already!

Another email-
FAMMMM!! Hello hello, and Merry Early Christmas from Italy:) It still
doesn't feel like I'm really here...lol Really everyday feels like a
dream, and I can never remember what I did the day before...lol days
feel like years, weeks feel like hours, and months feel like days....
it really is so so crazy, but Know how much I love and miss all of
you! Thank you for all the support...really means the world<3 So just
a few funny things I wanna tell all of you, about Italy..these
trains, and metros will literally be the death of me!! haha but I
love it, and the culture is just so great:) Fam let me tell
ya....Italians are perfect for me cause they never stop
talking...kinda like me! haha I guess I would fit right In if I talked
more, which I'm getting better at, it's just hard when you don't know
the language and try to jump in a conversation when you don't know
what in the world is being said, and you fear you'll mess up, and make
a fool of yourself (which I have done MANY times) haha and one funny
one is the word winter (Inverno) which is really close to the word
(Inferno) meaning hell...so, many times I've been telling everyone
this heck is freezing....haha and my comp just laughs at me, or other
things like Christ Fried on the cross, god is the pope, and do you
have anyone we can kill....(Ya that one went real real well!) ha I've
said them all, and you just smile and learn from your mistakes:) So
It's an adventure here, and I've had many weird things happen...like a
lady trying to teach us how Jesus did yoga during his earthly
ministry....Don't know where she came up with that one but I about
died! PDA here is baddddd and people macking face right in front of
you on metros, Men being creepy, and watching people crash their bikes
into things...haha this guy ran into a curb...hard not to laugh but it
looked painful! Also Japanese WHO SPEAK ITALIAN!!! It's a thing...it's
for reals, and I literally die everytime! Italians yelling at each
other, then hug and kiss cheeks cause that's just how they do
it...haha they get mad, but it lasts 2 seconds! Teenagers
smoking...everyone smokes here. My lungs are done. Too many
Gelateria's too count, and the best looking deserts you've ever seen
at every bakery(which is like every other buliding.) lol Weird
Fashion, and SCARFS Like you've never seen! LOVE THEM! ha and my
favorite, Creep Allesandro in our ward...seriously old man, who wrote
me this weird song and tried holding my hand....so he gets up during
testimony meeting and literally tries to reenact the first vision on
the pulpit...that's all I need to say. It's great, and mission life is
absolutely nuts and wow I am just learning new things everyday, and it
can get really overwhelming if you think of all that's going on, so I
have learned to just take it a day at a time, and it makes things so
much better:) Incase ya'll were wondering...haha me and Mr Zachary
still write every week and it's the best.<3 We just hit our year mark
the first of november!! Yay, and it literally is so weird cause the
France border is about an hour from my town...haha So close but so
far! Anyways I love the mission, and the sweet Italians here. <3 They
will forever be apart of my heart, and also my cute cute trainer!
Seriously love her to pieces, and She will also be a forever friend! I
sent Christmas cards to all of you so I hope they get there. :) Okay
love you all, and hope you have a great Christmas! I'll y'all soon on
skype:)
Love Sorella Rindlisbacher
Helping this lady move things, and this place was underneath this like 500 year old school.... creepy, creepy, and haunted! There were tunnels everywhere. . .
Going to do service ... I had no other clothes so.. haha. No I changed, but this was definitely an option.
Good food tonight... fried rice balls with meat, cheese, and sauce stuff.... but worth every calorie!
This one is for charles. (dad... he always has statues if you've seen the yard + the cabin haha)
The original.... (ahhh)

So sissys
things here in Italia are better:)) It's getting a little better, and
I just take it one day at a time::)) I realized I will never stop
missing my family, but being homesick is getting better that I don't
feel so homesick when I am just out talking to people, serving people,
and loosing myself in missionary work. The language is coming a little
better....I am understanding a little better and trying really hard to
talk to everyone. It's so cute cause the cute members in the ward just
encourage me so much, and I go around and talk to everyone I can, and
they always try to talk back to me and I never know what they are
saying, but I just smile and knod:) Haha I am trying to learn
everyones names, and I have become good friends with the youth, and
lots of the cute old ladies. They always just hug me and kiss my
cheeks, and say you are a brava missionary! SO sweet those little
women<3 But people are telling me they can tell my langugage is
improving, so I won't stop trying! And yes lynz my comp is so cute!
She makes the hard days better, so I'm really grateful to have her
these first few months of adjusting and being new. I love you sisters,
and thank you for all the prays, pictures, videos,
emails....everything<3

love Sorella Bacher
Ps.... Nick is going
strong....2 whole months without shaving my legs...me and Sorella
springer are going to WAX them Sunday...you heard me! I'm freaking
out! Haha I'm so scared, but I'll make sure to record it and send it
to you guys;) also sissys how's the challenge with reading the Book of
Mormon? I just finished Mosiah, and started alma:) I love the
scriptures sisters, and never until I started reading them with
questions, with a sincere heart to know if they are true, and now with
that attitude, they have become apart of my life, and testimony. I
love them❤️ and really hope you are making efforts to read them, and
especially starting this new year, make it a goal:) I'm right there
with y'all! Let's do it together, it's easy...we just have to make
time to do it:) love you so much! Okay we will talk next week❤️ also
Lynz it will be hard to skype twice cause wifi here is crap and I'd
rather just do one skype call instead of two to make things easier, so
I hope I can still talk to you, or even if you can't make it to mom
and dads but somehow they call you on the phone and hold it up to the
Skype thing....Idk we will figure it out:) love you sissys! Have a
great week:)
