Happy Valentines from Italy!

Ciao friends and family<3 FIRST... HAPPY LATE VALENTINES!!! I hope you
all had lots of chocolate, and did something nice for someone else:) I
made Sorella Meager and Me Hot chocolate, and she made us popcorn...so
that was our little treat;)
Okay random funny things of the week....
-So yes Just found out this week...Italians fry Nutella....did I try
it....No..... do I want to No:D Haha okay random, but I just found
that so strange!

-cooking me and Sorella Meager dinner the other night, I lit the rag
on fire, and Fastest reflexes IN MY LIFE!! I put that out fast....Good
thing there was a bowl of water next to me already!! Haha, but cooking
is always an adventure;) I've learned a lot of things to cook and
enjoy making us meals.....when they turn out how they Are suppose to:)
lol my cooking skills=work and progress except I will say I have
mastered Italian Potatoes! 😁👍🏽

-Every Morning this cute fella (we call him the Monopoly man cause he
looks just like him) but he walks his dog (that has to be atleast 500
yrs old) outside our apartment in circles in the middle of the street
for who knows how long...Literally the cutest thing! Haha 😅

-When I first got my new comp....I got us lost on the way
home...Missed our bus stop so we walked a bit longer to our
house....haha first 15 minutes being with each other, I think she
realized how bad at directions I was without even telling her😂I mean
I've been in Collegno for 3 months and still can't find my way around,
But Since that day, I've managed to get us to all our appointments
this week....Thanks to our ipads and maps me! I feel lots more
responsible now being the one getting us around, finding train times,
and even making phone calls although I still barley understand
Italian! The members always know when It's me on the phone....They
always Say this is Sorella Rindlisbacher huh! Haha It's been hard, but
a fun challenge...making me grow up a bit;)

-And lastly, we taught our english class how to say Sally Sold
Seashells by the seashore, and Oh it gets me every time!!! 🙏🏼😂SO SO
FUNNY!!!

Well it's been another busy good week, but let's just start with the
sad part...saying goodbye to my trainer:( I cried and cried at the
train station....haha It was a sad day, but I know Sorella Springer is
going to do great things in her new city, and our 12 weeks together
went by just way too fast! She's great, and Again I got so so lucky
with another amazing companion "My bottle breaker." Sorella Meager is
from Texas...only girl with 3 brothers, and LOVES RODEO!!! So much fun
to have that in common with her since that has always been a big part
of my life....horses and high school rodeo🤗 Anyways we get along so
well, and Everyday we are laughing over who knows what, and just so
happy to be doing the lords work with such an awesome comp! She is
just hitting her 1/2 mark in the mission, so her Italian is BEAUTIFUL
and she helps me so much with it:) But miracles guys...MIRACLES! This
past week, I don't know how but all of a sudden I can speak so much
more Italian, and it's literally all credit to God, because he is a
God of miracles....I still have a long ways to go, but looking back at
the first weeks here, My Italian has improved so much, and it's all
thanks to the gift of tongues cause my slow brain could not learn this
much Italian in 4 months without that.
Anyways I'm so excited for this transfer! Already seeing miracles with
Sorella Meager, and love seeing how she does missionary work:) We talk
to so so many people, and She helps me feel more confident talking to
people on the buses, metros....It's always somewhat awkward cause
people are so closed off here, so starting conversations is fun;) but
I'm getting more comfortable just talking to random people, so that's
been fun learning from her:)
We did some finding (door knocking) and Never before have people
invited us back over, but a few people did, and again....Miracles:) We
have had so many appointments this week with members, less actives,
and looking to find new investigators everyday! I found the busier we
are, the more happy I feel because I'm thinking less about myself and
more about others, and it's so true like the scriptures say, Serving
others truly brings us so much happiness:) We took a train out to
Pinerolo which is on the boarder of France, (Like 40 min train ride
from Collegno) to have family night on monday with the Lusso's and
Sassi's who now live with them while they find a house, but Seriously
so much fun<3 We Made them cookies, talked about the Importance of the
Book of Mormon, played some scripture chase, and yes guys....I'm just
so blessed to be with these people<3 Each of them holds such a special
place in my heart! And something cool we talked about along with the
Book of Mormon is a quote I love, We talk to god through Prayer, and
God talks to us through the Scriptures....so If you guys feel like you
aren't receiving answers to your questions, sometimes all you have to
do is study the words of God, and it will come....It just takes some
effort on our part:) Also a pretty cool Miracle....We had a feeling to
go see Gabriele (this little old man who has been taking lessons from
the Anziani) but we just dropped by and brought him a treat, and
shared with him a little mormon message. He said he was so grateful we
came to see him cause he was having a very hard day....I asked him why
and he said it was a year ago today my wife passed away, so God sent
you 2 over today when I needed a little pick me up. HOW AWESOME IS
THAT! Moments like that are moments that being a missionary is the
absolute best<3
Last night we had an awesome lesson with Silvana, and I felt impressed
to ask her and Matteo (her husband) to read the Book of Mormon
together and pray together about it, and they said they would:) i love
watching people's lives and hearts changing before my eyes...it's
truly so humbling and powerful. And it really all comes down to the
Book of Mormon! It truly is the keystone of our religion....if the
Book of Mormon is true, then everything....EVERYTHING else is
true...it's just that simple:) so like President Monson says...if you
haven't read the Book of Mormon, read it! I know it can be hard, trust
me, I've been there too before...finding time to read, even just
having the desire to read was not there most of my life, (ask my
parents about it) lol but guys I truly know now.....now how important
the Book of Mormon is because I've seen it change lives here on my
mission, and seeing people give up so much to be apart of the true
church and treasure the Book of Mormon more than I ever did cause I
always just took it for granted... and I regret how many years I never
took the time to read it. So if your not, start now, it's never too
late:) It will change your lives as it has changed mine!
Okay well that's it for the week....So I'll end with quote of the
week: "Do not pray for easy lives, Pray to be Stronger. Do not pray
for tasks equal to your powers; Pray for powers equal to your
task."......If Life gets too hard to stand, Kneel." -Gordon B.
Hinckley
Love Sorella Rindlisbacher

My comp is so cute! She even made my bed for me the morning while I made us smoothies :)
