Buongiorno tutti🤗
Yes this week we have ran for more buses than ever before and those
drivers don't wait for you...it's even more fun running in skirts, and
I'm just always laughing my head off the whole time running cause we
probably look so ridiculous😂😂
Anyways....so firstly Guess what everyone......I just hit my 4 months!
Yikes time is flying!! Guess what else....transfers are next week, and
My cute trainer will be leaving me. I would be lying if I said I
haven't cried more than once about it...Haha I am going to miss
Sorella Springer so much, and even though I've been in Collegno for
almost 3 months....I still can hardly find my way around these windy
roads, so my new comp and I will figure it out together. 😅 we had a
busy busy week full of lots of train rides and meetings.
We had zone conference on Thursday and it was awesome. I have said it
more than once, but I'm so extremely blessed to have President and
Sorella Allen to look up to. They inspire me so much, and I just love
them more than words can say. Sorella Allen said something I
loved...it was that God never wants us to just get comfortable in
life...because being comfortable means we are flatlining and
flatlining means a lot of missed opportunities. It's so true!
We went to visit Sorella Miele that night, just mostly to stop by and
leave her with a short message cause it was getting late, and we
needed to be home. Because she is a widow, she is alone most of the
time, :/ so we try to visit her when we can. Well we show up and
surprise...she made us dinner😅 haha what a sweet lady❤️ so yes I ate
probably the most cheesy rice In my entire life with potatoes and
bread and all sorts of not so good stuff for you....haha it's just the
Italian way. Everything is full of oil and cheese.😅 and then we
showed Sorella Miele how to make frysauce with our potatoes:) ha they
eat lots of things with just straight mayo, so add a little ketchup in
there and life is good. 🤗
The next morning we took a train to the Sassi's home and helped them
pack until around 2 where we took our next train to catch our next
train to Milano for scambiò (exchanges) my goodness so many trains and
it is busy!😅 exchanges were so fun, and I met some awesome people:)
we taught Christiano (a new convert) and he is the first Red headed
Italian I have seen, and he is pretty proud of it😅 haha he speaks
perfect English and loves practicing with us, so our lesson was in
English and super fun cause for once I could understand everything and
contribute more;) he actually taught me a lot as he shared his
testimony with us about how he knew this was the true Chruch after
being raised Catholic all his life. I love hearing converts stories❤️
reminds me how blessed I am to have been born In the gospel. He loves
the Book of Mormon, and I swear he knows more American history than
me! Ha He's so smart, and just so full of life and has love for
everyone! then we had a lesson with Larenza she (also spoke to us in
English) haha and is a super cute girl! She said she will be going to
church, and loves the feelings she gets when she prays. Some pretty
cool people!
Sunday at church, I was so tired from such a busy week, and it took
everything in me to stay awake😅 but luckily I did, (well
mostly)🤓👍🏽and our ward announced some awesome things they are going
to be doing to help everyone get involved in missionary work....so
they are doing a 40 day fast where each day a family signs up to fast
on that specific day, and us missionaries get to go visit that family
for the day and bring them a message. It was quite funny cause when
they announced this, a few people thought they met we individually
fast for 40 days, and they yell out during sacrament that's crazy! You
can't live if you do that....haha Italians are so silly and just yell
at any moment they feel like...then everyone forgives each other and
finishes with baci's (kissing the cheeks)😂 I was laughing so hard,
but anyways Our ward is awesome, and they are really wanting to help
involve the members in missionary work! We are excited, cause
missionary work isn't just for missionaries, but for every member of
the church that we can all share the gospel with our friends and
family, so miracles are about to happen here in Collegno. :)
After church we went to the Furia family's home, and I love love
them❤️they have the cutest daughters, and stephie who is 14 is my
little bud😊 I can still barley keep conversation with people, but I
feel so much love from them, even though I can't say all that much.
Love is an amazing thing isn't it?? Just like the feeling the spirit
it's a universal language, and love can be felt without words as can
the spirit. They made us some yummy lunch and basically it was
thanksgiving dinner, plus Christmas dinner, and birthday lunch all in
one😅 so much food! Haha then I made a fool of myself and was talking
about our loving father as in God, and accidentally said our loving
pope and everyone laughed and I laughed at myself (crying inside
really) 😂 ha it was silly....learning a new language is an
adventure😉 and lastly Monday we went to Torino for Sorella Springer's
back appointment. While she was in talking to the doctor, our phone
rang and it was the Tribastone family (for our appointment that night)
and I freaked out cause she wasn't there to answer the phone and I
knew I just had to go for it. I answer and yup it was a disaster😅
didn't understand much of anything and Sorella Tribastone just laughed
and said this is Sorella Rindlisbacher isn't it😂 yes yes it's me,
haha but she kept telling me you're doing good, just keep speaking! I
managed to make it through the next phone call which was Barbara and
set up an appointment to meet with her tomorrow, so it went a little
better😅 one day guys one day...I'll understand:) just keep trying!
Anyways we went to their house after the doctor appointment and had
dinner and shared a spiritual thought. I love them so much!! They are
such a loving family and Sorella Tribastone gave me and Sorella
springer bracelets, and all these cute clothes. They are always so
giving❤️
Last night we had a lesson with Silvana and watched the restoration
with her. The spirit was sp strong, and she said she believes Jospeh
Smith could be a prophet because he couldn't have made all this
up....I just wanted to stand up and say yes Silvana yes!!!🤗 it's so
true...a 14 year old boy could not have made all this up, and
translated the Book of Mormon without the power of God helping
him...but instead I sat there in silence and just felt such a peaceful
feeling in my heart, that yes Jospeh Smith is a true prophet
indeed...and that was such a miracle hearing those words come out of
her mouth cause for so long she had been telling us otherwise, but I
know little by little her testimony is growing, and she said she might
come to church Sunday.
Me and Sorella Springer are singing a duet in sacrament this Sunday
just FYI..in Italian and English..soooo wish us luck;) I don't do that
kind of stuff...but I never thought in a million years I'd be learning
a new language either, so you just never know some of the things you
end up doing in life:)
Okay guys well that's it for the week! I love you all and hope from
last weeks challenge, you all did one grateful prayer a day, and this
weeks challenge, 2 grateful prayers a day! Haha okay just kidding, but
I want to challenge you all this week to read the Book of Mormon,
whether you're already doing it or not, we all have to start
somewhere, and I can promise you guys it will change your life as it
has changed mine.❤️ I love love the scriptures and especially as a
missionary...they bring me so much peace and answers to my questions.
Love Sorella Rindlisbacher

impact in bringing us closer to our savior Jesus Christ."
