Hello my dear family and friends️ come andate le vostre
settimana??spero che era bene
Wow another week already....happy almost marchSo as my subject line says.....I think I've decided I want a pinkfiat;) I've seen so many this week and they are kinda rubbing off onme-at a dinner appointment...I asked what kind of blood (sangue) we werehaving instead of sauce (sugo)...haha ya that went well- patience....my sweet companion is full of it and I'm so gratefulbecause just when I thought I knew a shortcut to a member's house...weliterally ended up in the middle of NOWHERE and were completely lost!We ended up being 40 min late...and luckily the members laughed aboutmy bad sense of directions, and Gave me a hard time the entirenightdinner was good and so was the spiritual thought, so it ended
up being okay;)So me and Sorella Meager have been pretty busy this week, and I lovelove working with her! We are always laughing so much, and honestly Ithink I've almost died cough choking a few times from laughing sohard.....don't drink water and talk to Sorella Meager at the sametime...it never ends up good-We saw cute monopoly man again walking his dog, and were running lateto catch our bus, but next time we are gonna stop and talk to him:)plus I really wanna find out how old his dog is-we made around 120 cookies this week and bring them to everyappointment, and made it a goal to visit everyone in our apartmentcomplex this transfer, so we take cookies to each home. It's been funmeeting our neighbors, and share a spiritual message with them if theylet us in. :)-we had a lesson with Bertha this week (an investigator who has beencanceling on us the last 10 weeks) but I saw her son on the bus, andasked how she was doing...after him telling me it was her bday, I knewwe had to call her and bring her cookies:) she let us come over, andwe sang happy bday, then actually ended up teaching the restorationand her friend was there who wanted to listen and asked for a Book OfMormon at the end:) super cool!! Miracles-Sunday we went to visit Grazia Vicedomini who is a less active alongwith her son. Her husband comes to church every week, and guys it wassuch an awesome lessonif you haven't seen mountains to climb (the
Mormon message) go watch it!!! It's so so good and brings tears to myeyes every time! We all have struggles and problems in our life...ourmountains we each need to climb, but through Christ and his atonement, through the peace that reading the scriptures and prayer brings, wecan each climb these mountains and become stronger. Grazia wassobbing, I was crying...ha we were all a bit teary eyed, and it wasjust such a special spirit in the room. I then asked her husband theimportance of the sabbath...what makes him want to come to churchevery week...and he brought up the right point.... to take thesacrament! So me and Sorella Meager bore our testimonies on theimportance of the sacrament, and invited Grazia and her son to churchthis week. They both haven't been forever, but miracles canhappen.-also at their house, her husband poured coke in with hiswater...please nome and Sorella Meager just thought that was so
odd and then she starts laughing, which includes her wheezing, and itgets me goinganytime something funny happens at appointments she
starts kicking me under the table and I can never keep it togetherHaha another example...always laughing with herlaughing is good,
makes you happy:) so everyone laugh a little more this week...It'sgood for your soul-speaking of mountains to climb, only my family really knows, but forthe past month I have been sick with different things, and for so longmy sleep was really bad and getting worse....lots of other symptomsstarting arising too, but after going to the doctor, talking to mymission mom, and other people, the conclusion came down to glutenintolerance. I went back to the dr. For blood tests yesterday andtoday I have an ultrasound to make sure my insides are okay, but Ihave to cut gluten out of my diet, and I'm in the Land Of GLUTEN...lolalmost everything they eat here has it, but I have a sure testimonythat god gives us exactly what we need when we need it, and this maybe my mountain I have to climb right now, but my faith is strongerthan my doubts, and although I don't know the why's of this happening, especially while I'm here in Italy, I have faith that one day I willlook back and understand. Instead, the members just feed me lots ofrice at dinner appointments, so it all works out okayalthough I
will say...gluten free bread isSo thank you for all the
prayersI sure have felt them!!!
-we went to visit Sorella Miele Sunday night as well, and Sunday Ijust could not speak, and think...haha long dayshe told me to send
her a text when I know the language and We just laughed together causeya....I have a longggg ways to go! Lol just when I thought things werecoming along, i get shut downit's okay, it's humbling, and I know I
will be able to speak and understand when God needs me too:)-creepers...yes let me tell you guys...the men here...oh we have somecrazy storiesI'll just sum it up with the other day I guess I
agreed to go on a date with this olderish man and his friend whofollowed us in the library...nodding your head when you don'tunderstand the lingua and saying "si" to everything is not always thebest idea-I had no idea public restrooms cost money...so paid a whole euro forthatthe things we take for granted!
-we had family night with Barbara and her little boys Zachy and Omarsome of my most favorite people in the entire world! I could literallyspend everyday with themwe watched a little Mormon message, and
talked about the importance of service, and examples of how we canserve others. Even just a simple smile can change someone's day:)-a lesson with the sassi family this week, Sorella sassi just pullsdown Francesco's pants as we are all talking and starts rubbing aloeon his bottom....haha these Italianslove them to pieces!!!
-we had another awesome lesson with Silvana last night, and talkedabout the importance of families and shared with her the proclamationon the family. It was awesome, and just makes me so excited one day tohave my own family:)-and lastly, I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! Seriously it's such a blessingeveryday to wake up and know that I get to be in a tool in the lord'shands in helping his children anyway I can:) it definitely has beensome of the most challenging days in my life thus far, but also someof the happiest too! The mission is such a life changing experienceand I'm grateful everyday for this time I have here in Italy to learn, grow, and serve all around me. I hope you all have a great week, andtake the opportunity to serve someone this week...even just a smile ora text...every little thing counts!Love sorella RindlisbacherQuote of the week:Choosing how we react to challenges, President Monson says, "we can'tdirect the wind, but we can adjust the sails."
