You're proabalby all wondering about my subject line so let's just
start there.😅 So Last week at Silvana's house, Her husband Matteo
came home from grocery shopping, and I ask him "Matteo what food did
you buy?" Well he starts pulling everything out showing us all of it,
then pulls out Wine bottles which Duh For some reason that didn't even
register in my head, and I'm thinking it's a vinegar for salads,
because they use all types of flavors here, so I say... "OOOO what
type are those?" And he gets all pumped and starts going off about his
favorite types of wine...and Sorella Springer is just dying laughing
at me cause ya, we are In Italy, and I am so NIAVE sometimes! haha so
that made a fun journal entry;)
Speaking of Silvana, we had a wonderful lesson with her last night on
the Word Of Wisdom, and to our surprise she said Coffee, smoking, all
these things become addicting so she stays away from them, and Only
Matteo drinks the wine....so wow she is already living it and that's
so awesome! It was a good lesson, and gift of tongues guys....holy cow
I didn't even know I knew that vocab, but somehow (mostly) everything
;) I was saying made sense, and I was just so grateful for that
experience that Like the scriptures say, open your mouth and it will
be filled...so true!
-We again chased many buses this week:) It's kinda the weekly routine!
Also I've seen a few Italian drivers back into each other which is
funny cause no one even cares...they just drive away! haha yes they
have small cars, but sometimes they think they are smaller than they
actually are:D
-We met some awesome people this week talking on buses, and
metros....but no one wanted to exchange numbers so we could come
teach them. That's okay, we just keep trying:) It's fun though meeting
so many people from all over the world!
-I RECIEVE MY NEW COMP TOMORROW!!! Awe exciting,
nerve-racking....it'll be good:) Me and sorella springer got the whole
house deep cleaned today, and it feels so good! I'm so so sad to say
bye to my trainer....I will miss her so so much<3 Good thing she only
lives 40 minutes from my home so after our missions we can do lots of
things:)
-Our ward started the 40 day fast, so we have been visiting different
families and leaving them with spiritual thoughts, and one included
the Quaresima's (snake family) And guess what guys....I thought they
only had 5 snakes...no no I was way wrong...THEY HAVE 16!!!!!!!!!! and
he started putting some on me and I cried...inside yes, outside I
didn't move...I was TERRIFIED! LOL
Also cute Sorella Miele we were able to go see again on her fasting
day, and What a sweet lady!! I love love sorella Miele, and honest
every time we go to her house she just feeds us way too much..haha
these people are so giving! We shared with her the mormon message,
"the will of God" and it was a really good discussion. I always learn
so much from her and her strong testimony and love for our savior.
-We made Terimisu with Olga and the Furia sisters this week<3 I love
learning how to Cook Italian style with these cute members! It's such
a fun way to bond and get to know them better:) We received transfer
calls that day too, and It was A STRESS CASE!! Lol but I'm staying
here in Collegno<3 and sorella springer is moving more down south to
Reggio Emilia:)
-I had a doctor apt this week for some health stuff I've been
struggling with, and another one soon, so hoping things get better
with that. :) But the Doctors office was literally the cutest little
place! It's like a little miniature castle with all these statutes,
and awe just so fancy! haha loved it
-Me and Sorella Springer sang in Sacrament "Sempre Vicino Te" (Nearer
my God to thee), and I love singing with her! It was so special the
spirit there, and it being our last sacrament together singing our
favorite hymn together.
-Lastly, BARBARA!!! I love Barbara so much<3 This little woman has
changed my life forever! We had 2 really awesome lessons with her this
week, and trying to help her through this tough time she is going
through with her marriage. I won't go into all the details, but it's
just not a good situation and really makes me so sad. I want so much
good for her and her 2 boys!!! cute Barbara never stops reading her
scriptures, and never stops praying! She has been such a great example
to me, to endure to the end. We played some games together after we
had dinner and watched a mormon message! They will be close to my
heart for the rest of my life<3
That's it for the week guys, and lastly, happy almost valentines:)
I love love these people so much, and I love being a missionary and
serving our lord!
Quote of the week: "Tomorrow's joy, or Tomorrow's despair has its
roots in decisions we make today."
Love Sorella Rindlisbacher
